Our Investment Proposition team is responsible for development (strategy and implementation) and promotion of Aegon UK's investment proposition. Important to the team is ensuring oversight and Governance of our investment estate across all propositions, management of Aegon investment solutions and driving in house fund margin.
As an Investment Manager you will occupy a senior role within our Portfolio Management team which manages Aegon's OEIC fund solutions and insured funds within Aegon's investment proposition.
You will be responsible for Investment management of multi asset fund of fund portfolios and contribution to the investment product design and Lifecyle processes.
Key Responsibilities include:- Managing assigned multi asset funds day to day within agreed mandates, including handling fund flows and executing trades.
- Leading asset allocation research, liaise with external advisers, and provide recommendations to support portfolio positioning.
- Directing fund research and recommend fund additions or removals, selecting appropriate funds to meet portfolio objectives.
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of portfolio management procedures across asset allocation and fund selection.
- Supporting product design and lifecycle management, working collaboratively with internal teams and key external partners.
- A proven track record of portfolio management, including asset allocation and manager selection abilities
- Broad investment knowledge including knowledge of competitor products/funds
- Understanding of IFA firms, their investment process, how they advise and sell.
- Strong understanding of the UK regulatory framework
- Extensive understanding of the financial services sector and associated customer demands and distribution dynamics
- Programming ability in either R or Python, though not essential is highly desirable.
- We're serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place. We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we'll put in 9%. If you decide to contribute more, we'll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that's 7% from you and 13% from us).

This role falls in scope of the Certification Functions subject to the Senior Manager and Certification Regime, your ongoing employment is conditional upon you being deemed a fit and proper person and maintaining your certification.
