Job Description
Investment Management Support Analyst

Department: Proposition and Investment Management Support

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: London

Description This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career or in their first professional role, who is passionate about driving change and building a career in business. Ideal for those looking to break into business analysis, change management, or project support within a financial services environment, particularly in wealth or asset management.

While an interest in finance is beneficial, this role is not aimed at those pursuing a path toward becoming an investment manager. Some experience in financial management and strong mathematical skills are advantageous. We're looking for a career-driven individual who enjoys working with data, thrives in a structured environment, and has a passion for continuous improvement and optimizing processes for improved efficiency.

This is a hands-on role that combines daily oversight responsibilities with opportunities to contribute to change initiatives, data analysis, and cross-functional projects. You'll also have the chance to undertake a Business Analyst Apprenticeship, gaining structured development and a nationally recognised qualification alongside on-the-job experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily monitoring of investment management activities, helping identify patterns, exceptions, and early indicators of risk
  • Work closely with the File Review team to align oversight activities with the themes emerging from client file reviews
  • Track and summarise daily developments in the investment markets to proactively identify potential issues or trends
  • Liaise across departments to understand root causes of issues and suggest process improvements
  • Assist in the delivery of change initiatives and internal projects, including drafting documentation, gathering requirements, and tracking progress
  • Maintain and improve internal MI (management information) dashboards and reports
  • Keep team documentation and content on the company intranet current and accurate
  • Ensure all work is performed within regulatory and compliance standards

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Essential
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and M365 tools
  • Interest in data analysis and using insights to support decision-making
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Natural problem-solver with a proactive mindset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across departments
  • Desire to develop a career in change, operations, or business analysis in financial services

Preferred
  • Exposure to or experience in wealth/asset management or investment operations
  • Experience working with data sets, reporting, or dashboards
  • Awareness of regulatory frameworks in financial services
  • Degree-level education is desirable but not essential
