Job Description
Our client, a special situations investment firm, is seeking an Investment Associate - Distressed & Special Situations to join its London office. The firm targets complex credit and equity opportunities across Europe, including restructurings, distressed debt, and event-driven situations. This role offers direct exposure to high-impact transactions and active portfolio engagement in a dynamic, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial analysis and modelling for distressed and opportunistic investments.
- Evaluate capital structures, recovery scenarios, and restructuring outcomes.
- Prepare investment memos and support presentations to the investment committee.
- Engage with stakeholders, advisors, and portfolio companies during turnaround processes.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in restructuring, special situations, private credit, or investment banking.
- Deep understanding of credit, valuation, and capital markets.
- Proven ability to manage complex deal processes and cross-functional workstreams.
- Fluent in English; additional European language a plus.
