Investment Analyst, Indirect Real Estate

The Amsterdam and London based team manages investments in real estate funds and ventures across Europe with an aggregate value in excess of USD 20bn. As we continue to grow our business, we are seeking to add an Analyst to the regional investment team. Initially the emphasis will be on the UK, but this broad role gives you exposure to real estate investments across different sectors and countries within both the UK and Europe.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:Your key responsibilities will be in three areas with the largest share being investment monitoring:
Investment monitoring- Attend meetings with fund managers and record action points;
- Review the reports of invested holdings (both non listed fund investments and ventures);
- Prepare forecasts and research notes on invested holdings (including review of strategy, portfolio, governance and ESG objectives);
- Collect and check data from invested funds, used for forecasting and research notes;
- Engage with fund managers to accelerate the implementation of our ESG ambitions.
- Support the investment managers in carrying out due diligence, including asset visits, industry/ market research, rental/yield comparables;
- Financial underwriting of potential investments and critique fund manager's financial models;
- Prepare investment papers and presentations for the approval committees.
- Provide support with on going monitoring of the portfolios and reporting to clients through reports and presentations;
- Assist with responses to client requests.
- Graduated from university (Master's degree) specializing in finance, investment or real estate;
- A minimum of two years relevant working experience in a real estate (investment) company or Big Four firm (Transactions / Corporate Finance);
- Strong analytical skills and a well developed critical attitude;
- Strong work ethic and ambition;
- Independent and proactive;
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills;
- Team player;
- Excellent written & verbal communication in English; any other European language would be a plus;
- Strong Excel skills;
- Natural curiosity to use AI (to improve your work efficiency).
