Job Description

Small groups. Big difference. Zero faff.

We're looking for a dedicated Intervention Teacher to deliver targeted Literacy and Numeracy support across primary schools in Lewisham. Working with small groups of pupils (KS1 and KS2), you'll focus on building confidence, closing gaps, and giving learners the boost they need to thrive.

No whole-class responsibility. No endless marking. Just purposeful teaching that makes a real difference.

Your role:
  • Plan and deliver engaging intervention sessions for reading, writing, and maths

  • Work with pupils identified for catch-up or pre-teaching

  • Liaise with class teachers and SENCOs to track progress and adapt support

  • Create a calm, encouraging space where learners feel safe to have a go

You'll need:
  • QTS and solid classroom experience

  • A strong grasp of phonics, SPaG, and maths strategies for primary

  • A positive, focused approach and a real passion for seeing progress

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
