Job Description

Teacher - Fixed term until 31st August 2027
Main Pay Scale (£32,916 - £45,352) + SEND allowance (£2,787)

Field View Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive school with a strong commitment to meeting the needs of all learners. We are seeking to appoint a skilled and compassionate teacher to lead teaching within our Internally Resourced Provision (IRP) on a fixed term basis until August 2027. This is a rewarding and highly specialised role, working with pupils who have significant additional needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that pupils receive a high-quality, personalised curriculum that supports both academic progress and the development of the whole child.

Role responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering a bespoke curriculum tailored to pupils with EHCPs
  • Creating a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
  • Monitoring progress against individual targets and EHCP outcomes
  • Working collaboratively with mainstream colleagues to ensure inclusion
  • Liaising with parents, external agencies and professionals
  • Supporting the school's wider commitment to inclusive practice and raising standards
We are looking for someone who
  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for inclusion
  • Has experience of working with pupils with significant additional needs
  • Has a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes
  • Can create adapted, engaging and meaningful learning experiences
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and positive behaviour support strategies
  • Is resilient, reflective and committed to making a lasting difference to pupils' lives

Visits to the school are essential. Lesson observations will take place week beginning 27th April as part of the selection process.

All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, Barred List Checks, along with other relevant pre-employment checks. Enhanced DBS disclosures will be renewed at least every five years.
