Description

The Internal Recruiter is responsible for assisting the Head of Recruitment in all aspects of the in-house recruitment strategy for Flint Bishop at a significant time of growth and firmwide expansion.

The Internal Recruiter will be responsible for creating and nurturing their own talent pipeline using a variety of resourcing techniques. You will identify suitable candidates to fill vacancies in the fastest possible time, with the best candidates in the marketplace.

You will support the Head of Recruitment with preparing and presenting MI and data to management teams to help make informed decisions about recruitment strategies, and you will work with the Head of Recruitment and Heads of Departments on talent planning activities to support internal talent development and forecasting recruitment needs for the future.

Your role will be key in shaping and delivering the objectives of the firm's people strategy.

This is a full time, permanent role, based at our Derby office on Pride Park, Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week.

Reporting directly to Scott Gregory, Head of Recruitment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Recruitment with a range of data and MI and presentation of this to managers and the executive team as required.
  • Support the Head of Recruitment with training and development of the internal recruitment team, including new starters in the department.
  • Work alongside Heads of Department and the Head of Recruitment to draft job descriptions for all roles.
  • Lead on the recruitment departments continuous improvement initiatives, including candidate feedback and new starter surveys, and presenting findings to the Head of Recruitment and management teams as required.
  • Support the Head of Recruitment with strictly confidential executive searches as required.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of assessment days for the debt recovery department, with the Head of Department and fee earners, and seek out continuous improvements.
  • Manage applications across various platforms, for example via the Flint Bishop website, LinkedIn, Indeed and the applicant tracking system.
  • Map out various markets/sectors to identify passive candidates to approach about current or upcoming opportunities.
  • Making outbound calls and approaches to applicants and passive candidates, assessing suitability for the firm's vacancies.
  • Keep up to date with industry knowledge to assess opportunities re recruitment.
  • Schedule interviews on behalf of managers. Attend interviews where necessary on Teams or in person.
  • Work with select recruitment agents on our preferred supplier list as requested by the Head of Recruitment. Review CVs and provide feedback in a timely manner.
  • Process regrets to unsuccessful candidates, providing relevant feedback and updating the applicant tracking system.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline for your own vacancies and for the wider firm using multiple resourcing techniques and creating new candidate relationships to add to the firm's applicant tracking system.
  • Maintaining all records accurately in the applicant tracking system.
  • Provide weekly and ongoing forecast updates to the Head of Recruitment on all current live vacancies and talent pipeline and any other projects.
  • Work through set weekly objectives and actions as set by the Head of Recruitment.
  • Work with the Head of Recruitment on employer branding strategies and campaigns to attract candidates and build on engagement.
  • Lead and manage the relationships with universities and colleges to identify opportunities for us to work with their students and increase engagement with graduates about potential opportunities with the firm.
  • Organise and attend recruitment fairs and events with the relevant universities and colleges to strengthen our early careers model, in partnership with the wider recruitment team and marketing teams.
  • Support the Head of Recruitment with resourcing strategies in the senior market.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

You will:

  • Have at least 2 years of experience in an Internal Recruiter role, although applications from experienced agency recruiters looking to move to an in house role would be considered.
  • Ideally have experience in the legal or professional services sectors.
  • Be able to evidence working to KPIs and set deliverables, whilst managing your own significant number of vacancies.
  • Be a strong negotiator and an adept problem solver.
  • Be an excellent communicator, able to handle crucial conversations at all levels within a business.
  • Ideally have legal or professional services sector recruitment experience.
  • Be a team player, able to work to high volumes of work to strict deadlines within a results-driven team.
