9B is working with a highly respected, design led architecture and interiors studio to appoint an Interior Design Director to lead its interiors offering within the luxury private residential sector.

This is a senior leadership opportunity to take ownership of a growing interiors team, delivering high end residential projects across the UK, often involving listed buildings, heritage assets, and conservation areas.

The Role

As Interior Design Director, you will lead and shape the studio's interiors portfolio, overseeing the design and delivery of bespoke, high value residential projects.

You will manage a small, talented team, while remaining hands on in the creative process, ensuring the highest standards of design, detailing, and client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of luxury private residential interiors
• Oversee projects within historic buildings and conservation contexts
• Manage and mentor a small interiors team
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, often with private clients
• Direct all stages of projects, from concept through to completion
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and specialist suppliers
• Ensure exceptional attention to detail, materials, and craftsmanship
• Contribute to business development and growth of the interiors offering

About You

• Proven experience in luxury private residential interior design
• Strong track record delivering projects within listed buildings or heritage settings
• Previous experience leading or managing a small team
• Highly design led, with an exceptional eye for detail and finishes
• Strong client facing skills and experience working with high net worth individuals
• Ability to balance creative leadership with project delivery and commercial awareness
