Panoramic Associates is supporting a Local Authority in the Southeast to appoint an Interim Head of Regeneration. This role will provide strategic leadership across the council's regeneration, economic development, and growth agenda, while overseeing a substantial programme of projects and managing a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to regeneration, economic development, and growth teams, including oversight of team restructures and performance management.
• Lead the delivery of major regeneration and development programmes, ensuring high-quality, hands on project delivery.
• Oversee a diverse project portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment, effective risk management, and successful outcomes.
• Develop and implement regeneration strategies, economic growth plans, and development frameworks.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, elected members, external partners, and key stakeholders to drive sustainable growth.
• Provide expert advice on regeneration, development, and investment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience working within a Local Authority or public sector environment.
• Proven experience leading team restructures and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong background in regeneration, economic development, and place shaping.
• Demonstrable hands on delivery experience on complex regeneration or development programmes.
• Experience managing a varied project or development portfolio.

Next Steps

This role is an initial 6 month contract with a possibility for extension. You will be required to attend the office 2 days per week, with the remainder worked remotely.
