Hays are working with a well-established manufacturing organisation in the Yeovil area of Somerset, seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance to join their team from October 2025. This is a key leadership role, initially for 6 months+, with the potential to extend.
Key Details:

Location: Yeovil (3 days on-site, 2 days WFH)

Rate: Up to £400 per day

Start Date: October 2025

Duration: 6 months+

About the Role:You'll lead a growing finance team, providing strategic oversight and hands-on support across financial operations. The business is scaling, and your leadership will be crucial in driving performance, improving processes, and supporting decision-making.
What We're Looking For:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Proven experience in manufacturing finance

Strong people management and leadership skills

Ideally, experience working with organisations linked to the defence sector

Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Responsibilities Include:

Leading and mentoring the finance team

Overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

Supporting strategic planning and commercial decision-making

Driving improvements in systems and processes

Liaising with senior stakeholders across the business
