Job Role: Interim Head of ESOL

Job Type: Full Time, Temporary (Fully on-site)
Start Date: Mid-Feb
Location: London
Salary: Negotiable Daily Rate (£350-£425)

We're working with a fantastic London-based college who are on the lookout for their next Interim Head of ESOL (16-18 & Adult), to cover a period of sickness within the team. As Interim Head of ESOL, you will have responsibility for the leadership, management and quality of ESOL programmes, including curriculum development, staff line management, safeguarding responsibilities and budget oversight.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Managing curriculum delivery, quality assurance and student outcomes
  • Line management, performance review, observations and staff development
  • Budget monitoring and resource planning
  • Teaching on ESOL programmes and supporting learner progress
  • Safeguarding leadership and compliance
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
About You:
  • An experienced ESOL professional with a strong background in curriculum leadership and management within Further Education.
  • Proven experience of managing ESOL provision, leading and developing teaching teams, and maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
  • A sound understanding of the national and local priorities affecting ESOL learners aged 16-18 and adults, including achievement, progression and learner engagement.
  • Confident in quality assurance processes, staff performance management, curriculum development and the use of data to drive improvement.
