A fast-growing, multi-location professional services firm is seeking a part-time Interim Business/Financial Controller (BC/FC) to provide critical financial oversight and process enhancement support during a period of strong expansion and post-acquisition integration. The role will play a key part in professionalising financial operations and reporting across a rapidly evolving organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support financial integration and reporting structure following recent acquisitions.
• Lead improvements in working capital management through enhanced visibility on debtors and work in progress.
• Deliver meaningful insights on margins and productivity via structured KPI reporting.
• Drive consistency and structure across finance processes in collaboration with internal teams.
• Implement and manage the Planning & Control cycle, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Optimise financial reporting through AFAS and contribute to BI reporting setup.
• Engage hands-on with internal stakeholders on a variety of financial and operational matters.
• Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit preparation across multiple entities.

Key Requirements:

• Experience in financial control and/or business control, ideally with a background in accountancy and exposure to dynamic SME environments.
• Demonstrated success in integrating financial systems and processes post-acquisition.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, cash flow analysis, and internal controls.
• Experience with AFAS and Caseware highly desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with BI tools.
• Available 2-3 days per week on site.
