Interim Commercial Finance Director

Pratap Partnership is proud to be exclusively partnering with a high-growth, acquisitive business to appoint anInterim Commercial Finance Director. This is a business-critical role for a seasoned finance leader who can drive meaningful change at pace during a pivotal phase of expansion.

The Opportunity

Working closely with senior operational and commercial stakeholders, you will:

• Lead the transformation of the commercial reporting and management information environment, creating a unified, insight-driven framework that supports strategic decision-making across the business.
• Deliver clear, commercially relevant MI and KPIs that enhance visibility of performance, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive profitability.
• Rapidly assess existing systems, processes, and controls, and implement best-practice improvements that align with the scale and ambition of the business.
• Act as a senior adviser to the executive team, providing financial insight that shapes growth strategy, supports acquisitions, and improves commercial outcomes.
• Mentor and develop the finance team, strengthening capability and ensuring continuity beyond the interim period.

The Candidate

This is a role for a commercially sharp, strategically minded finance executive who can quickly gain credibility and deliver value.

You will bring:

• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Significant experience in asenior finance role within a large, complex or high-growth environment.
• A proven track record of delivering commercially impactful reporting tools and insights.
• Gravitas, resilience, and exceptional interpersonal skills, able to influence at all levels and challenge the status quo constructively.
• A hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to lead change and execute at pace.
