Job Description

Integration Specialist - Healthcare IT

Location: Remote (with up to 25% travel)

Role Overview

iO Associates are recruiting on behalf of a pioneering healthtech company developing cutting-edge medical software solutions. This role focuses on the technical enablement, implementation, and integration of smart reporting products within healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation and integration of smart reporting solutions

  • Conduct interface discovery sessions with clients and partners to assess integration requirements

  • Design detailed interface specifications and formulate test plans

  • Lead technical discussions in remote or on-site meetings

  • Build interfaces using Scripting and according to client specifications

  • Implement and rigorously test solutions at client sites, resolving issues as needed

  • Document all interfaces to meet internal audit standards

  • Support system additions, changes, and upgrades related to interfaces


Functional Requirements

  • University degree in IT or equivalent experience

  • Strong domain knowledge in radiology/imaging and healthcare IT systems (eg, RIS, PACS, HIS, EHR)

  • Experience capturing and documenting customer workflows

  • Deep understanding of healthcare communication protocols (HL7, FHIR, FHIRcast, DICOM SR)

  • Proven experience implementing HL7 interfaces and applications

  • Proficiency in programming and HL7 protocol

  • Familiarity with Windows SDK, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, REST APIs, desktop/web development

  • Hands-on experience with TCP/IP, socket communications, MS SQL, and MySQL

  • Understanding of authentication and user management workflows

  • Fluent English (C1 level); German is a plus

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
