Job Description
Our Glasgow-based client is looking to add an Insurance and Contracts Business Partner to their team. As an Insurance and Contracts Business Partner, you will support the day-to-day functions in the service provision of Contracting, Insurance, and Corporate Risk Management.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT- Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with the commercial aspects of a service organization.
- Knowledge of contracting, insurance, and general business compliance practices.
- Good commercial acumen and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Independent thinking and responsiveness to business needs.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude with a focus on company success.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Confidence to communicate openly with all management levels.
- Ability to produce clear and concise reports.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools.
- Drafting ship management agreements and related contracts.
- Reviewing business-related contracts for all group companies.
- Identifying compliance requirements and insurable risks, with annual reviews.
- Monitoring the Contract Management system and supporting business units in compliance.
- Managing contract disputes.
- Ensuring compliance with international sanctions policies.
- Monitoring corporate risk exposures and maintaining risk registers and reports.
- Serving as the company insurance and legal contact when necessary.
- Managing insurance and claims reporting for ship owners.
- Maintaining records of insurance incidents and claims analysis.
- Reviewing insurable benefits in seafarers' employment contracts.
- Maintaining up-to-date records of insurance certificates.
- Supporting risk register management and reporting.
- Supporting the Casualty Response Team as needed.
