Job Description
Installation/Validation Engineer - Swindon area

Our client is a reputable clean air company providing a variety of validation and LEV services to clients throughout the UK. They are recruiting for an Installation/Validation Engineer based in and around the Swindon area. The ideal candidate will be experienced in carrying out clean room validations in accordance with HTM 0301 and will ideally hold the BOHS P601 and relevant Eastwood Park training. Previous experience carrying out test on LEV systems and fume cupboards will also be advantageous to the role. Consideration will be given to applications from the Bristol, Chippenham, Dorset, and the surrounding areas.

Experience to the Role
  • Experienced working as a validation engineer within the critical ventilation / healthcare sector.
  • Experience of testing LEV's, fume cupboards, laminar flow cabinets is desirable but not essential.
  • Ideally holds the P601 and relevant Eastwood Park Training.
  • Experience in undertaking a wide range of critical ventilation testing.
  • Proven track record of validating and verifying ventilation systems in accordance with HTM 03-01 regulations.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of compliance and health & safety guidelines.
  • Ability to manage own time and workload.
  • Confident in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in dealing with UKAS Accreditation and ISO 9001.
Duties within the Role
  • Testing critical ventilation systems within the healthcare sector; validating and verifying the systems in accordance with the relevant industry regulations.
  • Carrying out airflow and pressure measurements, microbiological air sampling, noise and environmental measurements, auditing of Air Handling Units (AHUs) and re-balancing airflows.
  • Carrying DOP and HEPA testing.
  • Report writing and consulting with clients on findings and recommendations.
  • Maintenance of instruments & equipment including arranging repairs and recalibrations when necessary.
  • Providing support and training to site engineers.
