Inspiring Secondary Tutor

Prospero Teaching is on the lookout for inspiring Secondary Tutors in the Sefton area to deliver bespoke, 1:1 learning programmes to young people who aren't currently attending school. Your creativity, patience, and passion could be exactly what they need to reconnect with education.

You'll design and deliver personalised lessons that help bridge learning gaps, rebuild confidence, and spark curiosity. Many of the young people you'll support have been out of education for a while, so your role is all about re-engagement bringing structure, encouragement, and a sense of achievement back into their day.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who wants to step away from the busy classroom and focus on meaningful, one-to-one teaching that truly makes a difference.

Prospero Teaching will be right beside you, offering ongoing support, guidance, and regular check-ins to help track progress and ensure each learner thrives.

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent qualification

• 6+ months of tutoring experience

• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)

• Right to Work in the UK

• Enhanced Child Barred List DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Two professional, child-related references covering the last two years
