Position Summary:

TÜV Rheinland Group is seeking an experienced Inspection Engineer (CAT 2) to join its expanding TÜV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) division in the Humberside region. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing Written Schemes of Examination (WSE), identifying preparation requirements, and conducting inspections in accordance with the WSE.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertakes simple NDT methods, including ultrasonic thickness checks, magnetic particle testing, and dye penetrant inspections.
  • Coordinates with NDT providers to manage extensive or specialist inspection requirements.
  • Prepares clear and comprehensive inspection reports, including photographs.
  • Assesses deterioration and equipment condition.
  • Reviews design calculations and sentences defects in accordance with standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Holds a UKAS RG21 CAT 2 Certificate.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in In-Service Inspection of Pressure Systems.
  • Incorporated Engineer status (desirable).
