Job Description

A bit about the role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Inside Sales Executive to support our growth through our travel agent partners. This is an Integral role responsible for supporting the UK / EMEA trade team and our travel agent partners to build long term relationships, maximising sales opportunities and driving growth for HX within the UK and EMEA market. You will be responsibility for a wide range of activities supporting our travel agent partners to drive overall engagement. These will include promotions, social media coverage, event management and ship visits, front line incentives, co-op marketing, and training, to support improved revenue growth for HX through our travel agent partners. This is a unique opportunity to join the leading Expedition cruise brand in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Day to day sales support for partner network

Support design and execution of front line agent incentives and competitions

Attend national consumer/trade shows, key agency meetings, consumer events, award nights and educational trips

Work with agent partners to deliver accurate, on brand marketing campaigns

Liaise with agent marketing teams on creative marketing approvals and pricing accuracy

Management of distribution of commission / override contracts

Upkeep of B2B portal information and Online travel training content

Ownership of B2B social media channels

Effective creation and delivery of B2B newsletters and comms to trade partners

Efficiently order and manage sales merchandise and trade brochures

Maintenance of Salesforce Travel agent database

Effectively manage escalated agent booking queries

Answer day to day calls, emails and communication from trade partners

Co-ordinate the delivery of new campaign assets for wider team and key partners

Professionally present and represent HX through training, webinars and events

Attend national cruise shows, consumer events, award nights and host agency educational trips

Work collaboratively across HX departments to drive optimal, efficient ways of working

Support co-ordination of operational change communications

Hybrid working including Home, UK Travel and UK head office Kings Cross

Performance Metrics:

Monitor sales performance, marketing campaign effectiveness, and revenue metrics, providing regular reports, feedback and analysis to senior management.

Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as necessary.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with wider team, senior leadership and other departments to align strategies and ensure cohesive guest service delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders to champion HX brand.
  • Forge strong external relationships at all levels of travel agent partners

About you:

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Educated to an 'GCSE' level or equivalent standard
  • Proven experience in a saleswithin the travel industry, preferably in the cruise / touring / adventure sector.
  • Strong experience of trade channels and relationships within the travel industry.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting sales growth and achieving & exceeding revenue targets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office, Salesforce; BI tools advantageous
  • Good understanding of numbers, respective market, market and data trends
  • Experience of social media channel management
  • Proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to travel as required
