Ingeniero/a Químico/a (Especialista en Polímeros)

International Healthcare Company based in Barcelona is currently looking for a Chemical Engineer - Polymer Specialist to join the R&D team.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the R&D Manager, you will:

• Develop all polymers and formulations involved in the company's product development.
• Meet the technical and economic objectives defined for the projects.
• Ensure that developed products can be manufactured according to quality, cost, and scalability standards.
• Create technical planning for assigned projects, applying the company's development methodology.
• Prepare project budgets and define the necessary technical and human resources.
• Propose technically sound, high-quality, and industry-focused solutions.
• Coordinate the implementation of the manufacturing process for new developments.
• Research and implement improvements in technical performance, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
• Define purchasing specifications and contribute to the initial supplier qualification process.

Desired Profile

• University degree, Master's and/or PhD in Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in industrial R&D environments.
• Core competencies: Analytical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, goal-oriented mindset, continuous improvement, innovative spirit, autonomy, critical thinking, integrity, teamwork, and strong communication and influencing skills.
