Contract Opportunity: Test Lead (Infrastructure)

Contract Length: Initial 6 months

Ten10 is one of the UK's leading tech consultancies, and we are currently looking for a high-calibre Infrastructure Test Lead to join us on a contract basis for a mission-critical project with one of our key clients.

The Role

As a Test Lead, you will work within the Testing team to drive the preparation of test plans and ensure software testing aligns with the Clients guidelines and standards. You will be responsible for the high quality and accuracy of software releases, bridging the gap between infrastructure upgrades and business requirements.

Technical Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in Technology Testing with a proven track record in the following areas:

• Infrastructure & Cloud Migrations: Hands-on experience with migrations from Citrix desktop to Azure Virtual Desktop and moving bespoke applications to Azure.

• Modern Data Ecosystems: Experience testing applications and databases produced using GCP Big Query, Azure, SQL Server, and SQL.

• Interface & Streaming Knowledge: Deep understanding of data flows, including XML, EbXML, FTP, SFTP, Data Streaming, and Kubernetes.

• Testing Mastery: Thorough understanding of structured test methods, manual testing, and testing upgraded infrastructure.

• Tooling: Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, and Confluence.

Core Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning: Prepare comprehensive test plans, scripts, and acceptance criteria (Definition of Done) for user stories and specific infrastructure components.

Execution & Quality: Maintain high accuracy up to software release and ensure all work meets schedule and quality requirements.

Agile Delivery: Support the scoping and estimation of effort for Product Backlog user stories using Scrum and Kanban frameworks.

Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers and users to ensure feature testability and timely defect resolution.

Reporting: Provide feedback to development teams and detailed estimates to Test Managers for project scheduling.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Technology-based higher education.

• Certifications: ISEB or ISTQB Foundation and Advanced.

• Methodologies: Experience transitioning from Waterfall to Agile delivery methodologies.

• Sector Knowledge: Prior experience working with stated Technology is highly desirable.
