Infrastructure Engineer

We're looking for a passionate Infrastructure Engineer to join our forward-thinking Technology team. Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will provide 2nd and 3rd line support to the business technology related hardware and software issues.

Overview

Infrastructure Engineer role focusing on maintaining and improving our technology infrastructure, supporting business users, and helping design secure, resilient, and cost-effective solutions. The role may involve occasional travel to Nottingham as part of a UK driving license requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line technical support to our business users.
• New laptop/PC builds and rebuilds.
• Maintain our M365 estate, Azure Active Directory, Windows Servers, and VMware ESXI environments.
• Assist in designing and implementing resilient, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
• Support business continuity and security plans while exploring emerging technologies like AI tools.
• Assist in implementation of new or amended technical infrastructures with minimal disruption.
• Participate in the OOH's on-call rota (1 week in every 3).

Requirements

• Strong experience with Microsoft Client & Server OS, and VMware ESXI.
• Experience of M365/Intune management.
• A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
• Full UK driving license (occasional travel to Nottingham).
