Infrastructure Engineer

Main duties and responsibilities

Office based:

1. Project management
2. Undertaking detailed design work
3. Writing engineering reports
4. Undertaking site feasibility work
5. Complying with company H & S Standards at all times
6. Other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the position

Person Specification:

1. Engineer level - ideally with 2-5 years of on-the-job experience
2. Client and local authority liaison experience is very important
3. A willingness to train junior staff members is essential
4. Varied project experience is desirable, e.g., commercial (retail, leisure, mixed-use), industrial, and residential
5. Familiarity with common highway and drainage sectional agreements (S38, S278, S104, S185) is essential
6. Must be an experienced user of WinDes and (ideally) Civils 3D; PDS users should still apply
7. Excellent numeracy and general mathematics understanding are essential
8. Capability of complex S278 design is desirable
9. Ability to produce drainage strategies and zone 1 FRAs is desirable
10. Must be proficient in AutoCAD
11. Good organization, communication, and presentation skills are essential; a good understanding of general processes and quality assurance standards is desirable
