On behalf of Tesco IMS, AMS are now looking for an Infrastructure Architect for an initial 6-month contract (scope for extension) on a hybrid working model in Edinburgh (once/month minimum attendance; potentially more around workshops, etc.)

Key responsibilities:

Tesco IMS are undergoing a major transformation following Tesco Bank's strategic integration with Barclays. As part of this programme, Tesco IMS must fully separate from the Legacy Tesco Bank technology estate and build an entirely new standalone infrastructure from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to work on a large implementation of a brand-new network and infrastructure environment across cloud, telephony, and on-prem. You'll be providing architectural oversight and assurance on a large-scale build - including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), multi-site connectivity, a new telephony platform, and a major rollout of Cisco Meraki.

This programme is high-impact, with long-term runway and a lot of moving parts - ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, complex delivery environments and wants to be at the heart of a strategic enterprise tech transformation.

You will:

• Provide infrastructure and network architecture assurance across all components of the new IMS estate.

• Collaborate with third-party vendors and technical partners to validate solution designs and integrations.

• Support onboarding of services to the new estate, including cloud (AWS/Azure), Meraki networks, telephony, and hosting environments.

• Ensure all infrastructure solutions meet Tesco IMS internal security and architectural standards.

• Contribute hands-on technical expertise and provide deep insight into network designs and dependencies.

• Work with internal architects and AMS security partners to validate delivery against robust assurance frameworks.

• Act as a key point of contact in design workshops, contributing to shaping and landing the future-state infrastructure.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven deep expertise in enterprise network architecture.

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (ideally AWS or Azure) and integration across hybrid infrastructure.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver architecture assurance and apply security standards in complex programmes.

• Cisco Meraki experience (desirable, non-essential).
