Information Assurance / Security Manager

Hybrid - North-West England (Manchester area)

£60,000-£80,000 + benefits

We are recruiting an experienced Information Security professional to join a growing security and assurance team supporting a range of complex, regulated environments.

This is a client-facing role suited to someone with strong experience across information security governance, risk and compliance, who enjoys working with stakeholders to embed effective security practices and support ongoing assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assurance, guidance and oversight on information security and risk matters.
  • Implement and maintain information security management processes aligned to ISO 27001.
  • Support internal and external audits and continuous improvement activities.
  • Work across multiple security frameworks and standards (e.g. Cyber Essentials Plus, NHS DSPT, PCI DSS, NCSC CAF, PSN CoCo).
  • Perform security risk assessments and support incident response activities.
  • Engage with delivery teams to ensure security and compliance are maintained.
  • Oversee vulnerability management and security reporting.
  • Ensure ongoing compliant security service delivery.
Key Requirements
  • Strong background in information security, risk and compliance.
  • Experience advising stakeholders in complex or regulated environments.
  • Good understanding of technical security controls and incident response.
  • Awareness of data protection principles (GDPR / DPA).
  • Confident communicator with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to take part in an on call rota.
Desirable
  • UK public sector experience.
  • Exposure to cloud and modern security platforms (e.g. Azure, Microsoft security tooling).
  • Relevant certifications (CISM, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CCSP or similar).
  • Security or compliance auditing experience.
