Job Description
About the Role
Due to continued growth, CambridgeHOK Refrigeration is looking for an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join our expanding team.
This is a field-based role covering East Anglia and Lincolnshire, with occasional travel to support projects in other regions. You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, commissioning, and fault-finding of industrial refrigeration systems across a variety of sectors, including food processing and agriculture.
Working both independently and alongside our experienced engineering teams, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive a high-quality, professional service.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
Commission new refrigeration installations.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and control diagrams.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry regulations.
Maintain excellent customer relationships while representing CambridgeHOK Refrigeration on-site.
Complete service documentation accurately and professionally.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone with:
Strong experience working with industrial refrigeration systems.
Sound knowledge of compressors, evaporators, condensers and control systems.
Experience working with ammonia, CO and HFC refrigerants.
Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Experience commissioning industrial refrigeration equipment.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Essential Qualifications
Completed apprenticeship or recognised training course in Refrigeration.
C&G 2079 Refrigerant Handling qualification (or equivalent).
Relevant industrial refrigeration certifications, e.g. ACRIB Ammonia Refrigeration Certification.
Full UK driving licence.
