Location: UK (Based in Manchester, North West, Midlands with nationwide operations that necessitate travel.)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40hrs per week, including extensive travel, working away, and participation in an on-call rota. Generally away 3 nights per week.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrican/Mechanical Engineer for dock levellers, industrial doors, Barriers and Cargo Handling Equipment. Knowledge of PLC's would be ideal but not essential. This role requires frequent and extensive travel, within the UK, working on installations, maintenance, and repairs at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:
Installation, servicing, and repair of dock levellers, industrial doors and air cargo handling equipment,
Conducting diagnostics, fault-finding, and troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems.
Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
Working independently and as part of a team in varied industrial and commercial environments.
Liaising with clients and providing technical expertise and support.
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Maintaining detailed service reports and documentation.
Traveling extensively, often at short notice, and working away from home for extended periods.
Requirements:
Qualified/Time-served Industrial Electrician/ Electrical Mechanical Engineer with a proven background in dock levellers, and industrial doors. A knowledge of barriers, gates and cargo handling equipment would be an advantage but not essential
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Experience with fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repair work.
Comfortable working at heights and in industrial environments.
5 year work history with a clean DBS check is essential
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Willingness to travel extensively across the country.
CSCS, IPAF, or equivalent qualifications (desirable).
Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers.
