€57,000 to €60,000 (approx. €28 to €29.60/hr) + company van + phone + pension. Permanent, 39-hour week.

RIGHT Group is a leading Mechanical and Electrical Engineering company in the water and wastewater sector, with a strong pipeline of work across the West and North West.

We're hiring a qualified Electrician based around Roscommon to look after the electrical condition of water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations in the region. The work covers inspecting and testing LV installations, reporting what you find, and carrying out the repairs that follow. You'll suit the role if you live in or around Roscommon, East Galway, Longford, Leitrim or South Sligo.

This role suits an electrician who likes working independently, managing their own schedule and taking pride in thorough, well-documented work.

The Role

• Plan your own work and run your own day, reporting to a Programme Manager
• A mix of inspection and testing on LV installations and hands-on remedial work. It isn't a desk job and it isn't pure testing
• Varied industrial sites: control panels, distribution, pumps, VSDs and instrumentation
• Your own van, with sites mainly reached daily from home

Responsibilities

• Periodic inspection and testing of LV installations to I.S. 10101
• Identify and clearly record defects and non-compliances
• Complete test records and inspection reports on tablet/laptop
• Carry out remedial works arising from inspections, then test and verify your own work
• Work from electrical drawings and schematics
• Communicate findings clearly to the project team
• Complete site paperwork (permits, RAMS) and maintain high H&S standards
• 3+ years' post-apprenticeship experience
• Confident with inspection, testing and verification of LV installations, and with completing test records
• Good working knowledge of I.S. 10101
• Comfortable with digital reporting and good attention to detail
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling
• Full driving licence

Nice to have

• Safe Electric Qualified Certifier (QC). If you don't hold it, we'll put you through it
• Experience completing Periodic Inspection Reports
• Industrial, utilities or process experience, with water/wastewater a bonus
