Industrial Door Engineer

Salary: £43,000 Overtime OTE: £55,000

About the Role

Our client is a leading global designer, manufacturer, and installer of large industrial doors, including fire station doors, aircraft hangar doors, and high-rise doors for rocket launching facilities. They operate worldwide.

We are seeking two experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineers to join the service team. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing large-scale industrial doors across a defined UK region. This is a field-based role with some overnight stays and occasional overseas work.

Key Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance and servicing of industrial doors
• Fault-finding, part replacements, and minor repairs
• Submitting post-visit service reports
• On-site customer liaison and professional service delivery
• Regional travel with some overnight stays
• Occasional weekend work (with time off in lieu)
• Potential international service assignments

Applicant Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience with industrial doors or similar (shutters, gates, lifts, cranes)
• Mechanical and electrical engineering background
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
• 18th Edition electrical qualification
• Valid CSCS card, IPAF, and DHF certifications
• Full UK driving license
• Strong safety awareness and communication skills
• Eligibility for DBS/security clearance
