Indirect Tax Analyst

We're working with a major UK-based organisation to recruit an experienced Indirect Tax Analyst to join their central finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in VAT and indirect tax compliance who is looking to grow their in-house expertise in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

This role is predominantly remote but will require 1 day a month in their London office and 1 day a month in a regional office.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and support preparation of VAT, CIS, and PSA returns.
• Ensure timely submission of returns across the business.
• Assist in standardising tax processes and documentation.
• Support tax awareness initiatives and embed best practices across teams.
• Identify and implement improvements in tax compliance and reporting.
• Provide indirect tax advice to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors.
• Support audits and ad hoc tax projects.
• Review purchase invoices for VAT and CIS compliance.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years' experience in an indirect tax role (in-house preferred).
• Part qualified or open to pursuing a professional qualification.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Confident working independently in a remote-first environment.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable handling large data sets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
