We are seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting young people to reach their potential.
We currently have a full time, permanent. job opportunity for a Travel Trainer to join our dedicated team,
As a Travel Trainer you will play a vital part in enabling young people (up to age 25), with special educational needs to become independent travellers on route to and from school and will develop positive working relationships with families to promote the importance and benefits of independent travel.
You will have:
- A degree level qualification or the ability to demonstrate through experience, the necessary knowledge to carry out the full range of duties.
- Experience of working with adults, young people or children with special educational needs.
- An understanding of the difficulties parents/carers face when supporting independent travel.
- A flexible approach to working hours, with the ability to travel across the Borough and work from a variety of locations, including early/late starts, to support young people and adults into education/employment.
