At Body & Soul, we create luxury intimate portraiture experiences for everyday women in East London - most of whom have never done a shoot before.

We've already guided over 1,900 women through this experience. For many, it's been the most important, confidence shifting thing they did that year.

As our in studio Hair & Makeup Artist, your mission is to design camera ready hair & makeup that feels like the best version of her, hold a calm, safe space from the moment she walks in, and stay on set for the entire shoot. Managing the details (flyaways, shine, wardrobe, subtle posing tweaks) so sessions run on time and she feels supported, confident and truly seen from first brush stroke to final frame.

• Create high-quality, camera ready hair & makeup that enhances each woman's natural beauty and fits the Body & Soul aesthetic

• Start every look on time, finish on time, and support 2 hour sessions that run to the minute

• Stay on set and fully engaged for the entire shoot: managing flyaways, shine, wardrobe tweaks, subtle posing adjustments and overall vibe so the guest feels supported throughout

• Capture and upload simple behind the scenes content during the day (on your phone) that showcases our transformation process without disrupting guests or timing

• Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, helping them feel safe, seen and celebrated

• Maintain an immaculate, calm, organised station and follow strict hygiene and sanitation standards

• Learn and embody our signature look library and guest experience standards

• Collaborate closely with photographers and Guest Experience to keep the whole studio day running smoothly

Within your first 90 days, you'll ramp from supervised support into independently running full styling days and on set assistance, while hitting our timing, guest feedback and BTS standards.

• Almost every guest is ready for the photographer on time, without us having to rush

• Guests consistently leave glowing feedback about you by name. We aim for a "5 star experience" as standard

• You grab quick behind the scenes clips on your phone for most shoots without slowing the day down

• Your station is spotless, stocked and calm every time we walk past

• You can independently run full styling days on our busiest days while protecting guest experience and team wellbeing

• You love being busy, moving and on your feet all day

• You get genuine satisfaction from hitting tight timings and following checklists

• You care deeply about women feeling powerful and beautiful in their own skin

• You're looking for a desk job, long breaks, or a slow, quiet pace instead of fast moving studio days on your feet

• You need strict 9-5 Monday-Friday hours and guaranteed weekends off - our schedule includes regular weekends and set shoot days

• You're uncomfortable holding space for women in vulnerable, emotional moments

• Capturing beautiful, Instagram worthy video of our guests having the time of their lives - while you're on set helping the photographer - doesn't appeal to you

• Professional hair & makeup experience with portfolio (soft glam / natural focus is essential)

• Comfortable styling and supporting 3 guests per day, on your feet most of the time

• Strong hygiene standards and kit / product care

• Confident capturing simple BTS content on a phone

• Weekend availability (this role includes regular weekend shifts)

• Structured 90 day ramp: Clear timing, guest feedback and BTS milestones, plus weekly coaching from your Studio Manager

• Clear progression: A defined HMUA ladder with pay rises tied to your results, behaviour and craft level - not politics or tenure

• Performance bonus: Monthly bonus on top of base once fully ramped, based on your timing, guest feedback and BTS coverage

Our guests are women, often shooting nude or semi nude, and you'll be part of an all female studio floor team for their comfort and safety.
