Impactful Outreach Volunteer - Community Support

We are looking to recruit Outreach Support Volunteers to play a pivotal role within the local Luton community promoting our services and engaging with our service users/individuals/rough sleepers and partner agencies.

At Change Grow Live we strive to ensure our services are a warm and welcoming environment. Your role as an Outreach Support Volunteer will be to:

• Support the Outreach team to engage and support individuals who are experiencing homelessness and have multiple needs/substance misuse. You will be responding to referrals, targeting known locations within the community actively engaging and building a positive relationship with people who are rough sleeping/ experiencing problems with substance misuse.
• As part of a team, you will be working with partner agencies, signposting individuals, empowering and assisting them to access relevant services. Advocating for them and supporting them to achieve their goals and make positive changes as well as managing expectations of all involved.

Outreach can be fast paced and challenging role so you will need to be responsive and adaptable with the ability to work quickly and effectively.No two days are the same and you can really make a difference in helping to keep people safe.

You will be provided with all the skills, training and support to undertake the role. Supporting rough sleepers is really rewarding and you can make a real

difference to somebody's life. This is the perfect rolefor a sociable and outgoing person who wants to help their community

Training:

Attendance on training is an essential part for the volunteer role.

Mandatory: Volunteer Induction training

Mandatory: Boundaries/Confidentiality training

Required: Drug Awareness training

Required: Harm Reduction training

Required: Alcohol Awareness training
