£43,277 to £51,714 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £55,497 pa inclusive of London allowance.

Contract type

This is a fixed-term appointment for two years, with possibility for extension depending on future funding.

About CETEx

The newly established Centre for Economic Transition Expertise (CETEx) under the Global School of Sustainability (GSoS) is focused on leveraging, strengthening and amplifying research, and developing well targeted policy analysis and other outputs, by convening policymakers, and by providing technical support, assistance and capacity-building. This new centre will support the reforms necessary to deliver sustainable, inclusive and resilient economies and financial systems around the world.

Position Overview

The Impact Manager will support CETEx in driving impact activities, including enhancement, data collection, analysis, and communication of findings. The Impact Manager at CETEx will lead the development, facilitation, and optimisation of policy impact across the Centre. This role supports the full impact journey-from identifying opportunities to evidencing and reporting outcomes-ensuring CETEx's work delivers meaningful change in policy, practice, and public discourse. The postholder will work closely with policy and research colleagues, external stakeholders, and funders to embed impact into programme design, delivery, and dissemination.

Candidates will be educated to degree level or hold equivalent work experience, and have excellent understanding of impact and knowledge exchange, preferably within an academic and/or policy context. They should have experience of collecting and interpreting survey or interview data using both quantitative and qualitative methods, and excellent IT skills, along with an ability to react appropriately to requests for advice or information. Furthermore, candidates should have experience of producing guidelines and other materials relating to research impact and knowledge exchange for CETEx colleagues, as well as experience of preparing reports, briefs, or presentations for different audiences.
