The Job You'll Do;- Direct and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the testing area.
- Ensure all tests are properly prepared, executed, and concluded in accordance with SOPs
- Analyse and interpret customer technical specifications and requirements.
- Plan and schedule both internal and external testing activities, including effective resource allocation.
- Own and manage the functional test plan, contributing to the overall project schedule.
- Ensure scheduled preventive and planned maintenance activities are completed effectively.
- Maintain, track, and update the test request database to ensure accuracy and visibility.
- Apply robust testing methodologies and data analysis techniques.
- Oversee the collection and management of test data from internal, regional, and third-party sources.
- Compile, evaluate, and present comprehensive test reports with clear data-driven insights.
- Lead the procurement and/or development of test fixtures and equipment.
- Ensure full compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies.
- Support team training initiatives and contribute to ongoing technical capability development.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance and cross-functional teams
- Drive KPI achievement through effective resource planning and team development.
- HND qualified or higher in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering).
- Extensive experience within a manufacturing or engineering test environment.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and associated components.
- Strong technical testing expertise, including software applications, acoustic analysis, thermodynamics, and instrumentation.
- Excellent verbal communication and technical presentation abilities.
- Skilled in preparing clear, precise, and comprehensive technical reports.
- Highly organised, self-driven, and proactive in approach.
- Advanced problem-solving skills with solid engineering analysis capability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work independently with flexibility and minimal supervision.
- Willing and able to travel within the UK and internationally as required.
- Effective collaborator with R&D, Development Engineering, and global cross-functional teams.
