Job Description

A Human Resources (HR) Officer vacancy is available to work in our Management Systems & Personnel department in Odiham, Hampshire.

This is a permanent, full time position responsible for all HR functions and Management Systems & Personnel duties as outlined in the Company (Quality Control) manuals, plans, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a point of contact and support on all personnel (HR) related issues for Palace International Ltd. UK and other sites as may be requested.
  • Provide management system and personnel support to other Companies in the group (as required).
  • Deal with any staff/personnel issues.
  • Carry out recruitment and induction of new workers.
  • Ensure that Company policies follow statutory laws and regulations.
  • Advise senior management on matters of salaries, redundancy, and employment law, and record and process staff confidential information.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Employment Law.
  • Experience as an HR Officer or similar role, with proficiency in recruitment, pay/benefits, induction, evaluation, appraisals, and training/development.
  • Experience in Performance Management, Training Management, Project Management, Conflict Resolution, and strong people skills.
  • Experience of Quality Assurance and Management Systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with staff at all levels, clients, customers, and external parties.
  • Ability to make decisions with significant impact, using sound judgement in situations with limited information.
  • PC literacy, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • High standard of English, with strong reporting, administrative and letter writing skills.
  • Prepared to work outside standard hours to ensure continuous operations.

The role is Monday to Friday, nominally 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day, plus a one hour unpaid lunch break, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
