Human Resources Director Construction & Cost Consultancy Guildford & London (1 day in Guildford & 3 in London per week) Permanent £100,000 - £130,000

A well established and fast growing UK & European professional services consultancy within the construction and built environment sector is seeking to appoint a Human Resources Director.

This role will define and deliver a scalable people strategy that underpins growth, performance and cultural cohesion across a multi office, multi country organisation. Operating as a trusted adviser to the executive team, the role combines strategic leadership with hands on delivery and is ideally suited to an HR leader with experience in private equity backed or M&A environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the senior HR adviser to the executive leadership team and Board.
  • Design and execute a forward looking People Strategy aligned to growth, margin and capability objectives.
  • Lead organisational design, succession planning and leadership development.
  • Support M&A activity, including HR due diligence, employee integration and cultural alignment.
  • Own and oversee all HR operations across the UK and Europe, ensuring robust compliance and consistency.
  • Provide strategic oversight of European entities, advising local leadership on employment law and best practice.
  • Drive a high performance, values led culture within a billable consultancy environment.
  • Lead talent development, engagement, wellbeing, DE&I and early careers initiatives.
  • Own HR systems, data and reporting, embedding analytics into workforce planning and decision making.
Skills:
  • Senior HR leadership experience within professional services, consulting or white collar environments.
  • Proven exposure to private equity backed, high growth or buy and build organisations.
  • Experience leading HR across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Strong command of UK employment law with working knowledge of key European frameworks.
  • Track record of supporting acquisitions, integration and organisational scale up.
