We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner to work in close partnership with our Care Groups and Directorates, providing dedicated senior level HR support to help deliver high quality patient services.
This is a key strategic role, working alongside senior leaders to align workforce and people solutions with Directorate business strategies and Trust wide priorities.
The services you will support include Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology, Medical Imaging & Medical Physics and South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Pathology Service that is based across a number of Acute Trust sites within South Yorkshire and driving is therefore essential.
Main duties of the jobAs a member of the HR Management team, you will be responsible for leading your own team and ensuring a proactive and responsive service is provided to managers and colleagues on all employment related matters.
You will oversee the performance of your Care Groups/Departments against a range of metrics and targets including sickness absence, appraisal, mandatory training and staff engagement. You will also ensure the timely completion of case work and provision of specialist advice on the full range of HR policies, processes and procedures.
An active member of the Directorate management teams ensuring you have you will have a good understanding of your directorates' business plan and you will support them in delivering on the plan by taking the lead on the HR and workforce agenda whilst ensuring compatibility with Trust wide approaches.

Person Specification Qualifications- Educated to post graduate degree level in a HR related field or able to demonstrate appropriate equivalent experience.
- Ability to demonstrate completion of Leadership Courses and have relevant experience working at a senior level providing HR advice
- Significant experience in a senior HR role in a large diverse organisation including experience of HR Service delivery and performance management
- Clear understanding of the major issues affecting the NHS HR agenda
- Experience of contributing to strategy development.
- Experience of HR Business Partner working principles.
- Experience of delivering coaching / training to managers, presentation delivery.
- Significant experience / knowledge of employment law and its application in employment practice
- Experience of leading the management of change including restructure and redundancy.
- Experience and understanding of Transfer of Undertaking and Protection of Employment legislation (TUPE)
- Experience of negotiating policy development / T&C's with trade union reps, full time officers etc.
- Demonstrable evidence of continuous development
- Able to build credibility quickly and to work with all grades of staff within the Trust.
- Experience of working in a highly unionised environment and working in partnership with trade union representatives.
- Experience of identification and management of workforce efficiencies
- Experience of large scale project management
- Experience / demonstrable knowledge of the NHS Health & Wellbeing Agenda
- Experience / demonstrable knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

£57,528 to £64,750 a year pa/pro rata for part time staff
