HSE Manager

Location: Office based in Leixlip, Co. Kildare (with site visits as required).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Project HSE Management Plans, ensuring alignment with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Act as the primary HSE lead for site operations, overseeing contractor compliance with Permit to-Work (PTW) and safe systems of work.
• Lead hazard identification and risk assessment processes (e.g., HIRA, HAZID) for complex construction activities.
• Conduct regular site audits, safety inspections, and safety walks to identify and rectify hazards promptly.
• Manage incident investigation and reporting, utilizing root cause analysis to implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
• Provide HSE induction, training, and toolbox talks to all site staff and subcontractors.
• Maintain comprehensive safety documentation and reporting dashboards (e.g., LTIFR, TRIR) for internal management and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent).
• Proven experience as an HSE Manager within the renewable energy or heavy construction industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Irish safety, health, and environmental legislation (e.g., Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act).
• Experience in implementing and managing ISO certified management systems.
• Strong analytical skills for data driven safety management and incident reporting.
• Ability to foster a proactive, open, and zero incident safety culture.
