Job Description

Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and delivering leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centre's, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for HSE Advisors to join them on a construction project in Didcot, United Kingdom.

You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, company policies, and project-specific requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure control measures are implemented and maintained.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to promote a strong safety culture among all personnel and subcontractors.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices, preparing detailed reports and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Work closely with the construction and project management teams to proactively address safety issues and support safe planning of high-risk activities.
  • Maintain and update HSE documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans, ensuring accessibility and compliance.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as clients, regulatory bodies, and auditors to ensure transparency and alignment with safety expectations.
  • Track and report HSE performance metrics, contributing to internal reporting, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You Will Need:
  • Strong experience in HSE within the construction industry, especially on heavy civil projects (reinforced concrete, rebar, temporary works).
  • Knowledge of HSE legislation and ability to apply it to project activities.
  • Experience with environmental management to support the client's agenda.
  • IOSH Managing Safely in Construction or SMSTS.
  • NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate as a minimum.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
