Our Environment Division provides source to sea asset delivery capability across the UK and Scotland, working on both framework and standalone projects. Since AMP3, we have delivered more than £2bn of assets for clients including Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Anglian Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, Welsh Water and Scottish Water.

Purpose of the RoleAs HS&E Advisor, you will support the Framework HS&E Manager across all health, safety and environmental aspects of the framework. You will support and implement the HS&E strategy and management systems to ensure that our operations are delivered to exemplary safety, health and environmental standards.
The role supports consistency, compliance and continual improvement in HS&E performance across the project lifecycle.
Key AccountabilitiesFoster an inclusive, open and collaborative environment that promotes strong HS&E culture, maturity and behaviours.
Support the implementation of the HS&E strategy, driving continual improvement across short-, medium- and long-term objectives.
Promote a positive HS&E culture aligned with Galliford Try's Challenging Beliefs and Affecting Behaviours programme.
Implement and maintain the HS&E Management System in line with business and client requirements.
Provide technical and specialist HS&E guidance to site and line management teams.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders including clients, supply chain partners, regulators and industry bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide HS&E input to operational teams from planning through to completion, taking appropriate action where standards are not met.
Monitor HS&E performance KPIs, driving continual improvement and feeding outputs into wider strategic review.
Support continual improvement initiatives to mitigate HS&E-related risk to the business.
Attend and contribute to project and management meetings as required.
Escalate HS&E concerns to the Framework HS&E Manager where appropriate.
Proactively collaborate with teams on all HS&E matters affecting projects.
About YouAwareness of individual HS&E responsibilities and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Highly collaborative with strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
Comfortable working in complex, fast-paced environments.
Analytical and structured in approach, with strong problem-solving capability.
Experience within infrastructure, water or another regulated industry.
Proven experience in HS&E management systems, risk and legal compliance.
Experience supporting projects across the full lifecycle (design and construction).
Confident using Microsoft Office and HS&E reporting systems.
NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate (or working towards).
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across projects and contracts.
Membership of IOSH or IIRSM (TechIOSH minimum).
CMIOSH or working towards.
NVQ Level 3 Diploma or above.
