Job Description
Responsibilities 
- Work closely with hiring managers across Suffolk County Council, helping them recruit the people they need to deliver services for the people of Suffolk
- Manage your own recruitment portfolio, acting as the main HR Recruitment contact
- Provide practical advice, helping managers attract the right candidates, deliver fair, inclusive and effective recruitment processes, ensure appointments are compliant and create a positive experience for candidates
- Build strong relationships with the services you support, understand the challenges they're facing and work with them to find the right recruitment solutions
- Lead and contribute to recruitment and HR improvement projects
- Provide advice on sponsorship, immigration and right to work requirements
- Support employees through the redeployment process
- Represent the organisation at jobs fairs and careers events
- Deliver training and information/knowledge sharing events
- Solid understanding of recruitment and experience of providing advice and support throughout the recruitment process
- Ideally have worked in an in-house recruitment or HR environment
- Genuine passion for helping people and delivering a great service
- Strong working knowledge of recruitment best practice and employment legislation
- Confident building relationships, advising managers and understanding their recruitment needs
- Organised and able to manage a busy workload with competing priorities
- Proactive, taking ownership of your work and looking for opportunities to improve
- Understanding of UK immigration and Home Office sponsorship requirements (desirable)
