Job Description
We're an award-winning games studio known for producing dark storytelling titles such as the BAFTA-winning Until Dawn, the cinematic masterclass of The Dark Pictures Anthology, the multi-award-winning The Quarry, the world of Little Nightmares and many more!
Our HR operations are maturing, so you'll be pivotal in designing how great HR ops should run - documenting the flow, automating the routine, and ensuring managers have the tools to do the right thing. You won't just maintain processes, you'll create and improve them, shaping scalable HR foundations for the future.
Responsibilities- Oversee all HR operations to ensure processes are consistent, compliant and reflect our culture and values
- Level up the end-to-end employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, changes, leavers) so every touchpoint feels professional and human
- Draft, refine and embed HR policies that meet UK legislation and best practice, and land them well with managers and teams
- Optimise configuration, data integrity and UX of the HRIS; drive digitisation of HR workflows and maintain manager/employee resources
- Oversee payroll and benefits - work closely with finance and external providers to keep everything accurate, timely and well-communicated
- Partner with HR Advisor to ensure ER processes are supported operationally
- Embed studio values and inclusive practices (EDI) into policies, systems, language and communications
- Define metrics, build clear dashboards and deliver concise reporting to the Head of HR and studio leadership-highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
- Solid HR operations experience in a UK SME, preferably in creative/tech
- Strong generalist grounding and practical understanding of UK employment law
- Proven HRIS ownership and process improvement track record
- A data-driven approach: attention to detail, data integrity, and the ability to turn metrics into meaningful decisions
- Excellent organisation and communication; comfortable juggling priorities and collaborating across functions
- Passionate about operational excellence and continuous improvement, with genuine care for employee experience
- 25 Days Annual Leave (3 of which are used when we close the studio for our end of year break)
- Private Medical Insurance (BUPA)
- Medicash assistance (Including dental and optician support)
- Life Assurance (6 x annual salary)
- Pension Scheme
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Income Protection
- Enhanced Family Leave (maternity and paternity pay)
