Job Description

Our client is an Irish-owned and managed communications installation company . Employing over 500 people, they have delivered some of the largest telecommunications, data centre, and fibre optic projects in recent years, with operations spanning Ireland, Europe, and the Middle East.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to hire an experienced Senior HR Officer to join their team, based in Finglas, Dublin 11. This is a full-time, permanent role offering real career development within a well-established, progressive organisation.

The Role Senior HR Officer - Dublin 11 (Permanent, Full-Time)

Reporting to a HR Manager and working as part of a collaborative team, the Senior HR Officer will take ownership of the day-to-day HR function and provide practical, hands-on support across all areas of HR. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced HR professional who is confident working independently, enjoys variety, and wants to make a genuine contribution to a busy, people-focused business.

You will be the go-to person for HR matters across the organisation, advising managers and employees on a wide range of employment and people-related issues, while ensuring the business remains fully compliant with Irish employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, probation reviews, development, and offboarding

Provide clear, practical advice to line managers and employees on HR policy, employment law, and best practice

Handle employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management processes

Develop, review, and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with current Irish employment legislation

Coordinate and oversee payroll processing and HR administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Support the delivery of performance management, engagement, and retention initiatives

Assist in identifying training and development needs and coordinating learning programmes across the business

Maintain accurate HR records and produce reports and metrics to support management decision-making

Ensure ongoing compliance with employment law and HR best practice across all areas of the business

The Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline

Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an HR generalist or HR Officer role

At least 2 years' experience at a senior HR level in Ireland

Strong, up-to-date working knowledge of Irish employment law - this is essential

Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels

Hands-on, organised, and capable of managing a varied workload with minimal supervision

Experience in engineering, construction, communications, or a technical environment is an advantage

Familiarity with UK or EU employment legislation is desirable but not essential
