West Wales Salary: Up to £75,000 DOE

Are you an experienced HR professional looking for your next senior-level opportunity within a fast-paced and growing organisation?

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join a well-established manufacturing organisation based in West Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused HR professional to take responsibility for both operational and strategic HR across a large workforce, while leading and developing an established HR team.

Desirable:
  • Extensive recent experience in a similar HR Manager role
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience leading and developing HR team members
  • Experience working within a unionised environment
  • Experience supporting a large workforce or multi-site operation
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how HR can add value to a business
  • Experience managing complex employee relations matters
  • Strong knowledge of current UK employment legislation
  • Experience developing recruitment and retention strategies
  • Experience using HR systems and reporting on people data
  • Experience supporting learning and development initiatives
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of both operational and strategic HR across the site.
  • Drive and implement the agreed HR strategy in line with wider business objectives.
  • Develop initiatives focused on recruitment, retention and employee engagement.
  • Work with site management and recruitment teams to identify recruitment and retention challenges and develop targeted solutions.
  • Coach, support and advise the Senior Management Team on all HR and people-related matters.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding employment, benefits and welfare matters.
  • Ensure learning and development needs are identified, supported and effectively delivered.
  • Lead and support the HR team with day-to-day activity and project work.
  • Monitor HR metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide specialist advice on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, performance, appeals and harassment/bullying cases.
  • Ensure HR systems and employee data are accurately maintained and appropriately reported.
  • Support the continued development of people management practices, policies and processes.
  • Maintain high standards across the HR function and ensure best practice is consistently applied.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to support wider organisational and people initiatives.
  • Support and deliver HR projects as required by senior HR and operational leadership.
As an HR Manager, you will also be expected to:
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the HR team.
  • Build effective relationships with senior leaders, managers and employees.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and understand how HR can support business performance.
  • Be confident handling complex and sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Coach and influence managers while challenging where appropriate.
  • Remain organised and focused within a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Take ownership of priorities and manage competing demands effectively.
  • Promote a positive and consistent approach to people management.
  • Lead by example and promote the organisation's values across the business.
