HR Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Manager to join a leading organisation based in Coleraine.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position.

Hours of work: £60,000 - £65,000

Salary negotiable (dependent on experience).

Job Purpose:

You will be responsible for having the overall responsibility for the leadership, development and delivery of the HR function across the business. This will include working closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, and combine strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational delivery

Essential Criteria:

  • 7+ years' experience in HR, including significant experience in an HR Manager, Senior HR Business Partner or equivalent senior HR leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading and developing an HR function within a fast-paced organisation.
  • 3rd level qualification in Human Resource Management, Business or a related discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK and Northern Ireland employment legislation and HR best practice.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company's HR strategy in alignment with overall business objectives and growth plans.
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the Managing Director and senior leadership team on all people-related matters.
  • Translate business strategy into practical people plans, workforce requirements and HR priorities.
  • Provide insight and recommendations on organisational capability, workforce risks, people costs and future talent requirements.
  • Ensure HR activity supports operational performance, productivity, engagement and commercial objectives.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, processes and practices.
  • Ensure the HR function remains proactive, commercially focused and aligned with the evolving needs of the business.
  • Provide leadership and direction across the full HR function.
  • Own the company's overall recruitment and talent acquisition strategy.
  • Lead and oversee recruitment activity across all business areas and locations.
  • Develop workforce plans aligned with current and future business requirements.
  • Partner with senior managers and department heads to identify current and future workforce needs.
  • Develop and maintain effective talent pipelines for key and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment activity, including direct sourcing, job boards, agencies, employer branding and selection processes.
  • Ensure recruitment activity delivers quality candidates within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Develop talent management, succession planning and internal progression strategies.
  • Identify critical roles, capability gaps and future skills requirements.
  • Promote internal development and career progression opportunities across the business.
  • Monitor recruitment effectiveness and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Provide professional and commercially focused HR advice to managers and senior leaders across the business.
  • Coach and challenge managers to strengthen leadership, people management and accountability.
  • Support organisational design, restructuring, workforce planning and business change.
  • Ensure managers understand and effectively apply HR policies and processes.
  • Promote a consistent and fair approach to people management across the organisation.
  • Build strong relationships with employees, managers and senior leadership.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for employee relations across the organisation.
