Are you ready to shape the culture and people strategy of a thriving community icon? Cardiff RSL Club is seeking an experienced, proactive HR Manager to drive best practice, support our team, and lift standards as we continue our club's evolution.

About the Role

You'll take the lead on HR operations, policy review, and staff development, with Club industry experience an advantage but not essential. You'll interpret and apply the Registered & Licenced Club Award, coordinate recruitment and onboarding, design rosters, and manage Return to Work programs. The role blends hands on management with strategic vision and genuine impact on club culture and staff growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, update, and implement Club policies in line with current awards and legislation
  • Oversee all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, training, and development
  • Manage Return to Work programs and drive a culture of safety and compliance
  • Design, review, and optimise staff rosters, ensuring compliance with separation of duties
  • Maintain accurate staff skills registers and lead employee development strategyExecute counselling and discipline documentation with care and compliance
  • Ensure timely and accurate minute taking, record keeping, and reporting
  • Organise and schedule regular WHS, staff, and management meetings
  • Champion an inclusive, improvement oriented culture across the club
Our ideal candidate has:
  • Several years' HR experience in a fast paced environment (Club experience a bonus)
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, workplace awards, and compliance
  • Demonstrated skill in recruitment, onboarding, training, and Return to Work management
  • Organised and detail oriented, with advances in roster design and administration
  • Excellent communicator who fosters staff engagement and lifts standards
  • High proficiency in documentation, record keeping, and meeting coordination
  • Culture focused, dedicated to staff development and club improvement
