HR Business Partner

As an HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, engagement, and development of our hospital workforce. Working closely with the Head of HR, you'll support the delivery of our People Plan, embed a business partnering model, and collaborate with leaders across the hospital to create an exceptional employee experience.
Your work will directly influence key outcomes, including engagement, retention, compliance, and capability development, ensuring that our people feel supported and empowered throughout every stage of the employee lifecycle.

By improving engagement, guiding managers, supporting organisational change, and ensuring compliance, you'll help build a culture where people can be at their best-ultimately enabling us to deliver high-quality patient care every day.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with leaders to improve engagement, retention and overall people experience.
- Support L&D activity and ensure statutory and mandatory training compliance.
- Provide confident employee relations advice on a range of cases.
- Lead onboarding and induction for new starters.
- Support organisational change, restructures and consultation processes.
- Deliver clear internal communications to keep colleagues informed.
- Use people insights and reporting to support decision-making.
- Contribute to key people projects and work collaboratively with local and central teams.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
- Solid understanding of employment law and experience managing complex ER cases (essential).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Competent IT user, including MS Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and workloads effectively (essential).
- Flexible, pragmatic approach with the ability to adapt to organisational change.
- Quick learner with enthusiasm for taking on new tasks (critical).
- Strong team player, able to work with diverse groups and model hospital values (essential).
- Ability to manage sensitive issues with diplomacy and professionalism.
- Customer-focused attitude with strong service delivery mindset.
- Collaborative, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure.
