White Horse Employment are working exclusively with a rapidly growing organisation within the civil engineering sector to recruit an HR Administrator. Supporting major infrastructure and construction projects across the UK, the business is going through an exciting period of expansion.
With a key member of the HR team due to go on maternity leave and a new HR system currently being implemented, this is a priority hire and a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and evolving environment.
The RoleReporting into the HR Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day HR operations of a fast paced workforce. This position is heavily administration focused and requires strong attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to work to tight weekly payroll and operational deadlines.
This role would suit someone with solid administrative experience who is looking to build a long term career within HR.
Key Responsibilities- Managing onboarding administration for site operatives, including Right to Work checks, issuing contracts, and obtaining references
- Supporting general HR administration, including pay rate changes, employment letters, and holiday requests
- Working closely with HR, Operations, Payroll, Recruitment, and Training teams to ensure accurate weekly payroll processing
- Managing and responding to HR inbox queries in a timely manner
- Maintaining and updating employee records and HR systems
- Acting as a key point of contact for site based operatives
- Providing general administrative support to the wider HR function
- Strong administrative background with excellent organisational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, operational environment
- Confident communicator via email and telephone
- Proactive, reliable, and a strong team player
- Previous HR experience is not essential, but a genuine interest in developing within HR is key
