Our client operates within the Education sector and is a well established organisation with a strong heritage and a workforce of over 200 employees. Their culture is rooted in respect, integrity, and a commitment to excellence in everything they do.
About the JobThis is a varied and hands on HR generalist role, supporting the delivery of a comprehensive people service across the organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will act as a key point of contact for HR advice while contributing to operational HR processes, projects, and compliance.
Duties will include:- Managing end to end recruitment processes, including advertising, interview coordination, and onboarding
- Providing guidance to managers on employee relations matters such as disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management
- Supporting HR administration including contracts, records, and HR systems maintenance
- Overseeing safeguarding checks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Assisting with payroll processes and benefits administration in collaboration with finance
- Maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures
- Supporting learning and development activities, including training coordination and probation reviews
- Producing HR reports and analysing workforce data to inform decision making
- Acting as a trusted advisor to managers on best practice and employment law
You will have proven experience in a generalist HR role, with a solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. You will be confident advising stakeholders, IT literate, and ideally working towards or holding a CIPD qualification. A professional, discreet and approachable manner is key. Working in Education is an advantage but not essential.
